Bucky laughed at that, grinning wide at the sound of unrestrained mirth coming from his friend. Man, it felt good to see Steve smile again, to see him truly smile. Sure, when he hugged Steve back on Wakanda before everything happened, he'd smiled then, but back then they were still suiting up for battle and everything and they weren't able to truly relax or be happy.
But this was different. There was no Thanos, no Hydra, no monsters to slay, it was just them.
"Oh, aye aye, Captain," Bucky teased, eyes glittering with happiness, feeling like he was vibrating with happy energy. Bucky and Steve were just super soldiers, they couldn't fly, but right now Bucky felt like he was flying, like he was soaring higher than the heavens, he'd never felt this happy before. Never.
"We're gonna cause a scene if we keep going like this. And what is shipping, anyway?" Bucky frowned, shaking his head. Kids. He and Steve might have looked young but they weren't from this time, there were still so many things that were so funny and strange to them, but at the same time there were so many things that were amazing and wonderful, like the fact that he could kiss the man he loved in public without people calling the police for public displays of indecency - or worse.
"Order in sounds good," Bucky grinned at the implications, "Steve, you dog. We haven't even had our first date yet." He added with a tease, nudging him just slightly. But the fact that he was laughing again meant that he didn't care. They could do things any way they wanted, that was the point, they were together and everything was good.
"I missed you. I love you." He smiled fondly at him, "We've got all the time in the world. Where are you staying? You're coming to live with me. No objections."
