Someone in a hero costume really stood out in a place like Preya. Of course, Hawks often wore his own, but it was usually tucked under civilian clothes, even in the most formal of situations. He wasn't into the whole showing himself off, but right now it wasn't practical, not when his hero suit he wore under his jacket was actually the summer one. It was easier to put on, and old habits died hard. You try stuffing wings through skin tight material someday.
Still, she was cute. Of course, he'd seen all the festival things, and knew of her deal more or less. Normally, he trained older students and ones who came begging. Sure, he had his share of the typical first years but those internships only lasted so long before they expected the students to find their own connections and request work studies. He normally would've been expecting a letter from Tokoyami, but that wasn't exactly going to happen now, unless he showed up. He might as well help out in his retirement, if you could call it that.
"All you can do is try...and the flying...well, that's my specialty. Put on your gear. You should always be ready." He gave a grin and a thumbs up before opening out his arms to her. It could have been taking as an offer for a hug, which might not have been horrifically out of character for him considering his popularity votes, but once she was close enough, he was going to give her a little spin, grab hold and fly. By his own power of course, but well, she needed to feel the sensation first off, and maybe get a little pep talk before he shoved her off a building or something.
