There was a certain static in the air where Gellert stood atop a hill, surveying the scenery below. A town lost in time and thick with magic. Gellert felt it like a pulse in the very land. A rhythm of the earth only chaotic until properly wielded. Proper guidance of any powerful force was vital. He believed himself to be solely worthy of reshaping the world. Perhaps not solely. Albus was yet oblivious to their future. One where they stood on opposite sides. True it was he very well could have been told by one of those seemingly from the future. This was very obviously another timeline, easily put. Surely Albus who was full of emotion beside his reason could think he might be reformed. He might believe so himself, if only his heart desired for more. It simply didn't beat for reasons as trivial as love.
For the time being he sought to fulfill a certain personal curiosity unraveling this country and it's people for what they were. Then he could tear it down piece by piece and build it anew, properly. His seemingly naive introduction aside, this land was no different from the one which he came from. It required order which it lacked. He yet had a vision, only it would be fulfilled differently. If there was a way to come here, there was certainly a way to leave. Their sheep were only content to be fed lies.
"Albus," he looked over his shoulder once the presence of the only person that could hold any sort of power over him grew strong enough for him to be right there behind him. He'd asked him to meet him, that was no surprise. That he could look at him with eyes filled with anything less than disdain still was. He only didn't know. "Kind of you to take time out of your day to join me." No doubt the other fellow had questions for him, some of which Gellert would surely skirt around answering. Others, the useless tidbits that Albus sought to know so often, those were easier.
"I did promise you a drink... and answers," he added, nodding down the hill. "I offer some of both."
