Nodding along as needed, Hawks just smiled some at the mention of a partner. He'd never really gotten the chance for that. Then again, most people couldn't keep up. His sidekicks never could. He'd been trying, cause if he could have picked anyone, the number one hero was the obvious choice. The fact that the man had been attractive was just a plus. Well, at least, he'd found other attractive heroes to debate working with, or not really, because he was still pretty stuck on that retirement thing.
"Wait...bunny ears?" He lifted his hands up high above his head, mimicking the whole idea. "Like actual bunny ears?! I worked with a woman who had bunny ears! She could have probably kicked my ass...if she'd been able to catch me." He laughed a little at the thought, and the fact that she'd never be able to now. "We went for drinks a lot, after work, you know. I think she was creepin up on the age they expect you to get married."
He nodded some, thinking about the differences. "You know. This really isn't too far from what I had thought about, like my ideal. A place that's calm enough that heroes have more spare time than they know what to do with. I guess I expected to work a good thirty years more at least as a hero, though." He shrugged. "I don't really know what I'm going to do yet. I guess I could do anything, huh? I'm good, though!" He grinned, reaching back for his wallet to pull out some money, because he didn't need a sugar daddy or anything, that definitely wasn't what any of this was about before moving to stand. "Are you ready to head home, then?"
