He didn't know it, but he'd been the frustratingly untouchable one. Sort of. Granted, that was Karina's teenage crush on him that he was entirely oblivious to. Arguably, he was oblivious to a lot of things. Including being checked out or however you might have wanted to put it, until it was made blatantly obvious. "Oh, hey well thanks," he reached up to touch the edge of his mask, deciding against taking it off. At least someone appreciated him. Or at least acted like it. The ego boost was nice, alright? He grinned some himself, finding it easy to relax without someone who was giving him a hard time. It was nice, so sue him.
From what he knew, the place he came from and the one they were from weren't all that different. Powers were just that, no matter what you called them. He'd read about All Might in Izuku's journals. He was pretty sure there was something in there on Hawks too. That kid took some detailed notes. "You aren't a Pro for nothing, right?" He was charming, Kotetsu would give him that. Easy on the eyes. He'd definitely been on worse dates. "As one myself, I couldn't be scared by something like flying!" Never flying. Just falling. Not with style either. Then again, usually someone caught him.
"If you didn't come by to say hi, Kaede might hate me, so I'll take you up on that." That was true. Parenting was rough with a preteen daughter. Dating... oof... don't get him started. He avoided calling it that in front of her for a reason. That stray thought had him fiddling some with his wedding band that he sentimentally still wore... until he realized it and dropped his hands down on the table. "So... Hawks..." He paused like he didn't know what he was going to say... because he didn't at first. "I never asked you if that was just an alias or if there was another name you went by." Smooth recovery, Kaburagi, smooth recovery.
