It was rough with hero work and having a personal life of any sort. Kotetsu was harshly reminded on a regular basis what the cost was. He only managed to get married to Tomoe in the first place with her never ending understanding and still in some ways his career cost him everything. Everything important. The time away from his family, feeding one excuse after the other to Kaede. Preya might have been the forced retirement he needed since his declining powers weren't enough to keep him off the playing field.
Anyway, if he went out in Sternbild, it was with Antonio or Ben or for staged bonding time with Bunny. That last part wasn't entirely true, that was just one time, but it seemed impossible to get that so called partner of his to loosen up sometimes. The younger crowd was so high strung these days. Maybe he wasn't that old, but he was old enough. Old enough to get a scrutinizing look from the still younger waiter when he came back by for their order. Not really having much time to look at the menu, but not wanting to hold them up any longer, Kotetsu ordered some sort of platter that had some of everything on it and left it at that.
"Not all the way. Just part. Traffic was a nightmare." It didn't hit him that he was still wearing his mask and it probably wouldn't unless it was pointed out to him. He settled in to his seat more properly, taking off his cap to hitch over the corner of his chair. "I'm sure you've got a wing up on the alternatives." That grin that Karina more than likely described as dumb said he thought he was pretty funny too. Really, he was just a dorky dad. "I wouldn't want to bother you like that. Traffic ought to have settled down by then. Unless you really want to lug this old man home."
