Krissy nodded. She had a feeling this was going to be something like that. If suddenly a bunch of vampires appeared with their hands up, she'd let Selene ite her right then and there.
She followed Selene in, though didn't put away her own gun - she did not have the benefit of super hearing. The house was that eerie sort of quiet when either people were not there, or lurking, and Krissy knew they weren't lucky for the first one.
When they were far enough in, three vampires jumped from the banister on the second floor and two appeared from one of the door ways. Krissy turned to shoot, but her shot went wide because she was pulled back by another from behind.
Swearing, she flung her head back, catching the woman in the nose. It was enough to stun her so Krissy could slip out of her grasp. She elbowed the woman then turned and shot, hoping that Selene was right and these were not her typical vampires. When the woman went still and then slowly crumbled to dirt as if she aged rapidly, Krissy was at least satisfied that the gun worked - though that sort of vampire was definitely new.
