Jim could tell that something was wrong. Given the young man's appearance and his demeanor, there was something behind that weak, 'I'm fine.' Jim had pulled that himself enough in his time to know better, and he felt wrong in simply passing through. Besides, the young man exhibited marvelous strength, and he would not turn a blind eye to that.
He looked down at his watch and then back up to the sign, noting the delay and future times for pick ups. Then he turned to the young man and pointed to the exit in the far left corner of the station. "Delays are normal this time of year, and we're not going anywhere for a while. It's pointless to stand out here in the cold. I am not the most graceful one when I catch a cold. There's a Thai place just around the corner."
He waved towards the door and started walking in that direction, looking behind to see that the young man followed. "Come along then," he said in a gentle but firm voice. "My treat."
