(meant to reply to this a few days ago but got distracted with the whole Christmas/New Years stuff, let me know if there's any issues :) )
As an archangel, sleep was something that was always optional to Yves, most of the time he preferred to continue his work, or sort the shelves in his libraries. But tonight was different, Yves too was thinking over the gift from the Ruler with a heavier heart than he should.
While he was thankful that he had been gifted a replica of one of his calming dreamcatchers, he had hoped for the flock of white ravens so he could contact his Servitors or at least hear back from them to know whether the outside world was coping in his absence. He worried about how Kronos, the demon Prince of Fate, the very antithesis of Yves and his being the Archangel of Destiny, might be corrupting humanity with Fate in his absence and taking advantage of his absence. While he trusted in his Servitors, he had after all trained them since the beginning of time, he still felt concerned about how things were faring outside of Preya.
It was for this reason that Yves was on an evening walk. He had been for a moonlit flight over Everdale, but he landed at the edge of the Ravenmoore and Brightford border near the coast. As he crossed the border from Ravenmoore to Brightford, he saw another angel on the sands of the Sunset Shore.
Frowning, as Yves drew nearer, he found he recognised the angel, it was Necrosis, he'd recognised images of him through the network. He had felt a little bit bad after the initial reaction to the angel who clearly had such a different perspective of things, clearly his world was completely different to Yves's world, and Yves could clearly see now that Necrosis was a wreck, wings out and his sobs heard over the waves crashing to the shore.
"Hey," Yves said gently, approaching him slowly so as not to startle him. "Are you okay?" He felt a little bit dumb for asking, but Yves had a gentle look in his eyes, his hair swept up in a bun. His wings weren't out, as he'd hidden them away after he'd landed, but he could see how messed up Necrosis's wings looked, and he could almost feel the pain emanating from the other angel. "Do you mind if I join you?" Yves didn't want to intrude, if it was a personal matter, Yves would leave, but he was a nice guy by nature and his heart went out to the angel. Yves had family here, Necrosis didn't seem to have anyone.
