The days following the moons didn't have him as exhausted as before, making him able to get back to life with minimal downtime. With Lirael's aid, he wasn't tearing himself to pieces, which he also took as a factor and a saving grace when his body was already marred by years of it. He had many qualms with Preya and it's mechanics, but it offered a chance for him to have some semblance of a normal life, one which was no longer entirely burdened by his condition.
At least, in so many ways. The issue yet hung between he and Regulus, though it seemed it wasn't enough to keep the younger Black from seeking out his company. Why he held back telling Regulus at first, well, that was a terrible error on his part when they were involved as they were. Remus knew very well he was smart, sure to figure it out more quickly than he liked. How could he not? The betrayal on his own part stung him in different ways. Yet still Regulus sought him out, tugging him into closets and pinning him down in his classroom. Remus hardly objected, he simply always felt he was waiting for the other shoe to drop where things truly fell apart.
It was after class, quite a bit later than he might have realized after grading and planning for the following day. The sound of swing music punctuated the silence of his room while he muttered quietly over his lesson plan for the next day. The distinctive creak of his door opening drew his attention away, glancing up to see the familiar sight of Regulus there leaning just in the doorway. He finally took note of the time then, giving a soft sigh as he propped himself up on his elbow. "To what do I owe the pleasure of this particular visit, Mr. Black?" There was hardly anyone around at this hour to come by them, which just made it more banter than anything.
