"Sorry," Tonks said with a blush creeping up her cheeks. "I got distracted." She grinned and waved her wand around to get the remaining ornaments back on track. Served her right for trying to send 18 ornaments flying over to the tree at once while a pretty girl was helping her decorate. The thought made her blush even deeper and she turned around to hide it as soon as her ornaments made it to their final destination. She chewed on her lip as she glanced over at the boxes with the next set of ornaments, trying to figure out where they could go but not really focusing all that much and mostly just trying to center herself. What was even wrong with her today?
She shook her head and decided that floating one ornament at a time was sufficient for the moment. "I never said you were less cool," she replied as a glittering ball hung itself on the tree. "I wouldn't believe it either if someone told me. I think you're quite cool, in fact. Cooler than cool. Ice cold, in fact. Is that a thing? Probably not." She was rambling, a sure sign that she was a bit nervous suddenly. "My grandparents are Muggles, and they do brilliant things all the time. Why, just the invention of the telly is rather extraordinary, don't you think?" She turned again to peek inside the box, spotting something suddenly that made a slightly mischievous grin come across her face.
Making sure that Hina had her back to her, she slowly began to float a string of tinsel over to her, gently wrapping it around her shoulders like an exotic scarf before the sight of it sent her into a fit of giggles. "Looks posh, doesn't it," she commented before more giggles had her doubled over again. Just like Hina, Tonks too was reminded of memories from her past, of days giggling with Ren as they plotted out their latest escapades, of Christmas morning with her parents, of dinner with her grandparents. It was bittersweet as well, but she tried to push it all to the side as new emotions suddenly emerged unbidden. She held back her giggles as she approached Hina, adjusting her tinsel scarf as if she was a fashion designer. "There, all ready for the runways now!"
