This was the time of year Hina was looking forward to the least, but she was trying to be in good spirits about it. Without really knowing what happened to her family or even her friends, it just got her down. So Preya was an improvement on being stuck in a post-apocalyptic wasteland overrun by Monokumas, but still. She still felt off after Halloween, taking her distractions where she could get them. The maid cafe, trying to plan this winter dance thing, being here with Tonks. Doing what were supposed to be normal things when she didn't always feel normal. It made it easier having the friends she made here. She just hoped she didn't go trying to kill them again any time soon.
They all had things to miss, that was why they should come together, right? That was what she kept in mind while she helped Tonks. At first, she wasn't feeling all that festive or cheery, but the longer they were at it the more she started to enjoy it. Chatting with Tonks about home and what they would do. She was standing on a step stool fussing with some garland with a donut handing between her teeth while she reached up with both hands. She nearly dropped it when she heart the crashing sound, teetering a bit on the stool when she jumped and lost her balance. She corrected herself before anything else catastrophic happened though, not that the whole foot fall would have been very damaging.
"You scared me!" She turned around to see the ornaments in their mid-air pileup, laughing as she stepped down to come pull a couple of them out to put on the tree while she munched on the donut in her other hand. Moments like this could make her forget for awhile how messed up things were. Brought up happier memories of bickering with Shota on how they should decorate or what went where. Making donuts because her mom knew she loved them. It was a sad sort of happy feeling. Really bittersweet.
"Do you need some normal person help?" She teased, getting a couple more ornaments with a giggle. "We might be less cool, but we get the job done."
