Who: Emika and Johnny What: After the rebel shenanigans When: Nighttime Where: Ravenmoore Rating: Low, probably Status:In progress
Emika had gotten off luckier than some of the others, she knew that. That she could talk herself out of the situation said something about her and she decided it was a positive thing rather than a negative thing. So she owed some cop a future favour - at least her run-ins with the law here were more positive than the ones back home, right? Still, her face ached with the black eye she was now sporting. She supposed it would give her some street cred.
She decided to use her hoverboard through the side-streets to get to where she needed to be. She figured she'd been seen on the hoverboard enough around Ravenmoore it would probably bring up more questions if she wasn't using it than not. It was only when she go to the agree-upon meeting place, she paused and looked around.
The 'safe house' was a small house Emika learned was the 'Summer home' of some rich person who always spent the winter months at the beach. To make things easier, she even set up notifications on her phone that went right to her neurolink - if the big-wig decided to leave his home and head toward Ravenmoore, she'd know about it. Thank God for smart houses and GPS on phones, right?
Once she decided the coast was clear, she crossed the street and headed for the front door - she decided looking like she was meant to be there would draw less attention. Once inside, she made her way to the basement. The basement was full furnished into some 'man cave' dream with big leather couches and a projection theatre. There was a fully stocked bar, a pool table, and a full bathroom. Emika had to wonder if maybe the guy spent more time down here than with his wife. Either way, it made for a good place to crash - no one would see there were lights on in the house that way.
At the bottom of the stairs, she paused. "...Johnny?" She whispered his name in the silent house and then flicked on the lights.
