The week of ignoring felt like it both dragged on and flew by. Being back beside Bakugo was something Todoroki would have never let himself expect, or even hope for, yet being here any lingering thoughts of how to fix something between them seemed to drift off. Sure, Bakugo was probably going to be annoyed after the event. For now, there was no reason to avoid relaxing and just enjoying it. Preya just seemed full of strangeness, this included.
He didn't like being confused by this or anything else. But right now, he could just ignore that, instead of trying to ignore Bakugo.
He wasn't overly worried about getting too hot snuggled up to Bakugo. Even if he was abnormally cold as a vampire, or whatever, a part of him still ran cold. It was one of the things he could remember from his sister taking him to the doctor. His temperature was usually all over the place. He still had risks for frostbite like everyone else, his father could suffer from heat stroke, so even if he was immune for the most part either direction, he wasn't invincible. He did shift just a little bit when Bakugo did, though, to keep his right side leaning closer to the warmth for the obvious reason.
Why Bakugo seemed to gravitate toward this position was a wonder in itself. Maybe it was because Todoroki was naturally a little bit taller. Then again, maybe Bakugo just didn't want Todoroki to wind up staring at him again. Had he done it that much on those few nights they'd hung around each other? Did he do it on the bus before he came here? Bakugo was still very much Bakugo, nothing really had changed. Maybe he knew something Todoroki didn't. "It's fine." It was an afterthought as he just took a deep breath and let himself fully settle.
"No." Sure, there were plenty of other things he could be doing. He could have went to have breakfast, he could have went outside to go for a run or work on his flexibility. He probably couldn't go somewhere to properly train since letting his quirk out in huge bursts wasn't the best thing in a city. He didn't actually want to leave and ruin this moment. It could be another week before it happened again, or even longer. "I might fall asleep." It seemed fair enough to warn him, when they still likely had a couple hours before they had to start getting ready.
So, he stayed still, eventually flattening out his hand against Bakugo's shirt for a moment before lightly rubbing with his thumb. The fabric was soft. He had to wonder how many other shirts of Bakugo's were worn like that. He pondered mentioning food, but if Bakugo wasn't grumbling about it, it seemed safe to assume he was fine. It wasn't like they weren't going to be around it all day, anyway. It would be just as easy to grab something at the cafe during a break. It wouldn't hurt anyone if he let himself indulge in this instead.
