"You left because Aizawa punished you?" Okay. Todoroki could be a little slow on the uptake, but he wasn't that slow. He knew that couldn't be a reason, but it almost felt like he was sharing too much, like something was shifting in a way he couldn't control, and making light of it even in such a small way made him feel better. All joking aside, though, he wasn't going to prompt Bakugo to talk about it. What little bit he had said just solidified the fact that they were from different times, too. Though, if he was remembering right, Midoriya talked like he was a little bit further back than Bakugo.
Maybe he should ask Kaminari.
Either way, he wasn't going to push the matter. If Bakugo had wanted to talk about it, he would have offered up more information. Sure, Todoroki wasn't exactly the best sort of friend that Bakugo had, but in a way, that might have been better. It was weird, but it had taken Midoriya, someone who wouldn't have had a clue in his life about Todoroki's to have him admit things even his own brother refused to talk about. He still wondered why he'd opened up to the other boy so easily in the first place. He never spoke about it, but maybe that was only because before UA, the only people he really spoke to were his family during his free time.
The old man comment almost gave him a bit of a smile. So, Bakugo wasn't in as bad of a mood over the whole thing as he'd been before. There was some good in that for sure. "It's true, though." He could easily remember a couple nights where Bakugo had went to bed hours before the rest of them. "It's true, though." Todoroki probably just needed to catch up on sleep. He could probably blame the whole vampire quirk whatever thing for it, but getting an extra hour for a few nights would probably do him more good than bad for sure.
In a way, Bakugo's words weren't anything unknown. He knew he didn't have to stay. Still, he wanted to, if only for curiosity sake. That was all he'd allow himself at the moment. If he considered other possibilities, they weren't going to end well, probably. He nodded, looking back at Bakugo for a moment. "I know." He started, waiting a moment before shifting himself more down onto the bed and pillows. Standard. Comfortable enough. Basically like his own room's.
"Do you want me to go?" In a way, he didn't want to ask. He didn't want to know the answer. He didn't want to hear Bakugo tell him to leave. He wasn't even sure if hearing the flipside of that would be any better. The other boy already confused him plenty. He didn't need to know any further confusing information.
