Why Todoroki was walking into Bakugo's room was beyond him. He had no real reason to stay. Really, he could go back, sleep for a couple more hours before he had to get dressed for the event. Some part of him knew, though, that he had somewhat liked Bakugo's company, even if he slept a decent portion of the time they'd been together. He hadn't ever expected Bakugo to stay, let alone actually stay awake with him. Yet, here they were. The setting was different, but the situation was. He took a deep breath. He missed it. Even he could understand that on some level. It was nice having someone around.
As Bakugo moved around to the bed, Todoroki figured that was as good of a sign as any that he could relax. So, he shifted, scooting himself more back toward the wall so he could lean against one of the pillows more. Sure, he felt a twinge of awkwardness at the fact that he was in his school uniform, but that sort of thing rarely lasted long in him. He just didn't care too much about how he appeared to his classmates. He and Bakugo tended to have that in common. Maybe all powerful students went through a similar mindframe of struggling on relying on others.
Todoroki didn't doubt for a second that Kaminari would attend. Maybe not for them, but for everything else. It was potentially a once in a lifetime sort of event. Sure, they'd had their own festivals and things at UA, but it wasn't quite like this.
He nodded, closing his eyes for a moment as he let himself fully settle in his spot. Sitting on a bed with Bakugo should have been more weird than anything, but it was strangely easy to relax around the other boy, despite death threats or anything he might say. Bakugo seemed more of a morning person than Todoroki, and that was definitely a good thing, even if he could recall the other students teasing him about it. If Todoroki didn't fall into wanting to stay up when he was clearly tired with them, he might be more of a morning person himself.
The question bared the glaring sort of possibility that Bakguo was likely like Midoriya. He was from a different time, or simply didn't remember. Why Todoroki knew the things they didn't was something he wasn't going to understand. Why him? It was the sort of thing that would haunt you if you let it. He wasn't going to. He just had to roll with it, and assume that since he'd seen all his classmates the day before deciding to come to Preya, there was no reason no to talk about it. Whatever was happening now didn't effect that.
He did wonder, though, if someone might show up that told him he didn't know about things he should.
"I got my hero license right before I came here. We both failed the first time." Did Bakugo even know about that? He hadn't asked why or when the other boy came here. Sure, he had Midoriya, but he felt a lot closer to the curly haired boy. He wasn't sure that wasn't too personal for himself and Bakugo, despite the amount of time they'd known each other. "We had extra classes every Saturday...and I would find you so we could walk to the bus station every day together." Saying it out loud almost made it sound a bit more intimate than it was. Usually the time was spent with Bakugo scowling at him for some reason or another. They hadn't been anywhere near each other during the exam. It wasn't like it was his fault he failed.
"I've been here less than a month. We had classes for technically over three months straight." He looked over at Bakugo, considering for a moment. "I set my alarm so I could wake up with time to do things, but I guess I didn't sleep enough and made a mistake by coming to fetch you." He considered that, looking around Bakugo's room again, if only because staring at the other boy so plainly was making him feel somewhat awkward again now. "I think I need an earlier bedtime."
