Still a little fuzzy around the edges from his Halloween costume misadventures as Merlin, Richard had taken a couple of days off to Brightford to decompress and maybe take a closer look at a couple of properties he had been considering picking up. Not bothered by the cold thanks to an old family enchantment, he'd started off his day with an early swim and some diving, taking an underwater look for signs of merfolk and to get a firsthand look at how the local fishing might be.
Thinking of breakfast, he had surfaced, swam to shore, and walked up on to the beach, his personal version of a merspear perched jauntily on one shoulder, fins hung from his weight belt that also supported his diving knife. Intrigued to find a young woman doing sword kata on the beach, he walked closer for a better look.
"Same to you," he returned with a smile. "Don't let me interrupt. Recognized some of your moves, but not the style. Taking a closer look at the artistry if you don't mind.
