However much time that stretched on didn't really matter to Todoroki. He had his own set of thoughts to sort through. Surely there were other places he'd rather be. Wouldn't it be just as logical to find Deku to seek out comfort? Surely, the curly haired boy would be better at it, but Bakugo seemed to plow through defenses without even trying, especially now, where Todoroki hung in the delicate balance of uncertainty. There was too many things weird about the situation to even pinpoint what was the worst part of it.
He gave a soft hum. There was no reason to push the kit on Bakugo. He'd seen the boy heal from fights and even escape them with barely a scratch. Whether that had something to do with his quirk or not, he didn't know. It was hard to keep tabs on someone who could blast through competition so easily. Bakugo was devastating in his own ways.
The expectation for the other boy to just cave and run for it never actually became fulfilled. Todoroki couldn't help but feel surprised when his twitchiness eventually led into Bakugo to move back toward him. Whatever his reasons, Todoroki wasn't going to ask and risk ruining it. The comfort the other boy's weird level of warmth brought with the arm over him was enough to make him want to preserve this. Maybe those extra hero courses were helping Bakugo and his bedside manners.
He didn't bother to say anything about Bakugo leaving or anything of the sort. It didn't feel like something needed to be said, and Todoroki was relatively a quiet type of person anyway. So, he simply tightened his arm around Bakugo with a soft smile to himself, knowing once he fell back asleep it'd go loose anyway. He lifted his leg after a moment, just to rest at Bakugo's hip, tucking in close enough that his nose could brush Bakugo's chest if he wasn't careful. It was enough to just breath him in, the weight and heat of his body comforting in a way that was different from his family, but he was too tired to really think too far into it.
It wasn't long before he was completely settled, eyes closed and warm, more content than he probably should have allowed himself to be. It wasn't fair to be taking comfort in Bakugo in a strange time when the other boy had a tail and who knew what sort of complications of his own. Still, Todoroki wasn't going to push him away. Voicing it all was a bit out of his realm, but falling asleep to the steady beat of Bakugo's heart was a decent enough first step as any for whatever would come of this.
