Jan and Light THE CORN MAZE INCIDENT
This whole thing had been a new experience for Light. He'd spent the last years of his life working on a murder case that had seemed to change the whole world, for better or worse. Yet, this place, with it's own complications, at least didn't have all of that going on. Really, people seemed quite happy.
He'd taken the overly enthusiastic woman's words to heart when he had attempted to wander by when she urged him into the maze. This was definitely not something he would have seen at home, living in the region he had. Of course, he knew what a maze was. What he wasn't prepared for was the sheer size of the thing which had to stretch out for winding miles or so it seemed. It was a bit much. It wasn't long before every corn stalk began to look exactly the same. He could pick apart computer code and clues with ease, but this was way out of his element.
Nearing temptation to just start calling out like he'd heard what sounded like a child earlier do, he rounded a corner, looking a bit miffed at himself before he saw a somewhat familiar face. "Oh, namesake." His expression relaxed as he stepped closer to her. "Are you lost, too?"
