ways to make gilmore squirm 101
Vax was enjoying the feel of the cool ocean water against his skin. It had been some time since he'd found himself in an ocean that didn't require dying or fighting a Kraken. Or, at the very least, he hoped it wouldn't turn out to be so. Lord knows he was now, well, ill-equipped to handle such a thing. However, something told him he was close enough to the shore that something as large as a Kraken would feel a bit...cramped.
The half-elf enjoyed a few more moments before he turned to see a figure in the distance by the discarded armor he'd left on the beach. He dove into the water and waded forward before he broke the surface with a bit of a splash, his feet finding the mushy sea floor. If Vax or Gilmore were at all from the modern world, his resurfacing and slow walk to shore might seem like something out of a James Bond movie -- body trickling with the sea, hair slicking back, which would earn itself a sexy slow-mo to shore for the Bond Girl in her too-small swimsuit. In Vax's case, of course, nothing to leave to the imagine.
The closer he came to shore, the sea dipping to reveal, to Gilmore, the full pride of Vax'ildan, his face brightened and a broad smile etched on his face. "Gilmore," he said as he approached, "you are a beautiful sight for sore eyes." He stood a few feet away from him, hands on his hip, and stared at him for a few moments -- noting how thin the man seemed -- and tilted his head before he closed the distance between them and placing his hands on the sides of Gilmore's face.
"Forgive me," he said quietly, "just had to make sure I wasn't imagining things or this wasn't some sort of an illusion that might require a bit of a harder approach." He met the other man's eyes, a softness on Vax's face. "So much for returning to Eamon, aye?" Without warning, though, he pulled Gilmore into a hug. "It is good to see you. Is this realm not treating you well? You're looking thin. Handsome as ever, but far too thin."
