Castiel tilted his head, confused. "I flew," he said simply, as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. He would never understand why people could be so jumpy. There were so many strange and unexpected things in the world, one would think they'd become accustomed to it. But then, he was caught off guard himself by this girl. He hadn't expected... whatever she was. "There's no need for alarm," he added.
Cold water rushed up around his feet, soaking the thin hospital slippers, but Castiel didn't flinch. Slowly, he turned more towards the water, the rhythmic sound of the waves enough to draw some of his attention, though his gaze never left her face. The waves would still be there in a moment; he wanted to observe his new companion. Behind the strange aura and the spike in her breathing and heart rate, she seemed... sad. But many of the people he'd seen here had that sort of undertone to their personality - he could see that even from the short time he'd been here. And he sensed no ill will from her. Not a threat.
The water slapped higher against his leg, catching the hem of his coat, and he finally tore his eyes away from her. Castiel turned to face the water fully, looking a little dazed. "Have the waves soothed your thoughts as you'd hoped?"
