That was all the Doctor needed to hear. With his mobile still pressed against his ear, with one hand he quickly punched in the instructions on the console for the TARDIS to hone in one Bill's phone signal, then swung the throttle to start the engines. "Hold on tight, I'll be right there."

At the site of the explosion, John was squatting to help a staunch the blood from a head wound of another blast victim that had been pulled from the wreckage. Several ambulances were arriving, along with Molly and a team of paramedics, to help take the wounded to the hospital, for which John was grateful. That's when he heard, over the wail of the the ambulance sirens, a sound that made the hairs on the back of his neck stand on end. A sound he'd only heard on the television, never in person. The unmistakable sound of the TARDIS arriving.
John looked over his shoulder just in time to see the TARDIS materialize right beside Bill. The door swung open and there was the Doctor, leaning out the door, his hand stretched out toward Bill to take.
"Hey!" John called, "She needs to go to the hospital! He may have a concussion!"
The Doctor blatantly ignored the doctor, and his hand remained outstretched for Bill.
