The trickster dodged another flying sword with a simple side step, turning at the same time to parry the sword away from himself so that it clattered and bounced across the grassy forest floor. Strangely, her words seemed to cut deeper than the sword possibly could have. Her words actually struck him and stopped him in his tracks.
She knew? She knew who he was because she had been there?! To hear that she would have gladly killed him in his infancy was a shock. She was more of a monster than he ever could have been...
"You were the one who took his eye?" he asked. He couldn't believe it. This woman he had been trying to save almost had him killed before he could defend himself. This woman who took away Odin's eye and belitted Odin for having a heart. Was it truly the finding of an innocent child that stopped Odin's conquest? Had Loki been causing rifts in his adopted family since before he could speak a single word? Most of all, did Thor know any of this?
"If I was meant to die I would have then. And yet I did not. Just as Father stopped you before you destroyed everything! Preya is your last chance. If you just stop this pointless struggle for power, we can have a chance to live as a family. Please..." he said, gripping onto the blades tighter, wanting to let them go but knowing how foolish it would be.
