"Oh, Yuri, it was everything that you did. And my foolish self reaching out like I thought you knew." As Yuri turned, Victor expected him to push back; he was pleasantly surprised when Yuri didn't and instead felt him turn into his embrace just a little. "You'll be embarrassed, most likely. But you should know. You see, we met before, at the banquet. I thought you knew, that you remembered." Victor carded a hand through Yuri's hair, just because he could.
"You were drunk off your ass, depressed from coming in last place. You asked me to be your coach and danced with me. Yuri, it was the best night of my life. You didn't remember it, though. I thought you did, so when I did come to Hasetsu to be your coach, you saw me first in your hot spring, completely naked, where I announced that I'd be your coach." His cheeks turned pink then, embarrassed himself. "I didn't know you didn't remember. You fled from me then, and I'm sorry I embarrassed you like that."
Victor paused, pulling back just a little to search Yuri's gaze. "I fell in love with you that night at the banquet, Yuri, and then spent the eight months where we trained together falling in love with you all over again."
