Yuri expected the smile and met it happily with one of his own only to have him turn it away. He stepped back a little to pull on his shoes again, watching Victor with Makkachin. "She never chases animals? Vicchan always wou-" He cut himself short, realizing he just admitted to naming his dog Victor, basically, then also realizing that Victor might already know that and internally groaning at himself. "Would. He was always distracted."
He nodded a little, smiling until he noticed Victor wasn't anymore and instantly looking alarmed. Had he done something wrong? He looked at the hand, then back up at Victor. Did he want the leash? Surely, if he did, he would have grabbed it while he was bent, right? He waited a moment, thinking, before lifting his hand to take hold of Victor's and take in a puff of air. "Let's go." He nodded, turning away a little and all but pulling Victor to the door and out if only to keep himself ahead a little to make the new blush less obvious as they walked out. Surely the cool air would calm him again and he could relax.
