That punching bag was the target of her assault. The gym was empty, which is how she liked it. Fist tapped at the knuckles as she came to hit at that bag once more. Feet bare as she came to kick at the center of the bag just to have it fall off the chains. A heavy sigh escaped her lips for the moment as she came to look to that small punching bag to the side and came to punch it. Her phone was tossed to the side. She didn’t want to deal with Scott anymore. She didn’t want to deal with anyone or anything but her anger. Already she moved towards those metal bars as she came to grip and start once more on pull ups. Sweat came down her back as she breathed heavy. Stiles was on his way, and just that thought alone gave her mixed feelings. -- Stiles was starting to freak out again as he drove. This conversation was going to suck, but he knew that he couldn’t put it off. It wasn’t fair to Cora. He had to tell her what happened. She deserved to know. “Here goes nothing,” he said to himself once he parked in the gym’s parking lot. He didn’t want to go in, but he dragged his feet and made his way inside. Nobody was around. Thank god. They didn’t need an audience. He saw Cora on the bars and walked over in that direction. “Hey…” * When Stiles voice caught her ears, she closed her eyes tightly. Letting go of the bars as she came to look towards him. But she didn’t say anything as she came to grab the spare gloves and toss them in his direction. “Put them on and get in the ring with me.” She was angry and it showed in her voice as she came to move towards that ring. Once inside, she came to wait for him to join. Exhale deeply as she brushed her hair from her face and came to tie it back into a braid. This was going to suck, she knew it already. -- “What?” he caught them, but dropped them. “No.” He wasn’t here to fight with her. Well, not like that. Well, not at all! But he knew something was going to happen. “Cora, come on, we really need to talk.” She was already mad He figured she was still mad at him and Scott for disappearing. Not that they had any choice in that. He sighed and climbed into the ring since it looked like Cora wasn’t going to get out of it. “I’m serious. We really need to talk.” And this wasn’t how he imagined this conversation starting. * She came to stare at him for the moment. “Then talk. “ She said as she came to lean against the ropes of the ring when Stiles stepped in. She promised Scott she wouldn’t hit him. Least not right away. “Come on Stiles… Tell me something, that I already don’t know.” Her hands were shaking to the point where she had to grip the rope to try and calm her nerves. Brown hues coming to stare at him for the moment. - Did she already know? Stiles had to wonder especially with how she worded her last sentence. He wasn’t going to guess. He just needed to say it. “I messed up last night,” he started, “I – we – I slept with Lydia.” It was better to just say it, like ripping off a band-aid. It sucked, but it had to be done. * Cora came to nod her head. “You know what’s the one thing that sucks about enhanced senses… You can smell all sorts of things the minute you enter its surrounding.” Already she came off the rope and looked at Stiles. “And you know what scent is the strongest? Arousal.” She swallowed down for the moment. “I came home to see you. After talking with Scott, and that smell was all over the house. I don’t care if you fuck Scott. But her.. her “ Her head shook as she came to turn away from Stiles and grip that rope once more. -- “You came home…” Stiles eyes went wide. He had no idea she had come home. Now her anger and staying away from the house had made much more sense. She already knew. “I’m sorry. I am. I fucked up. I know I did. I. Just. Things happened and it lead up to that and I couldn’t stop myself.” And he felt horrible about it. * “You know what’s funny about this. I can forgive that you fucked up. I can, as insane as that is I can… But her… her Stiles? Of all fucking people it had to be the girl you were… hell could still possibly be in love with?!” She came to finally look at him, as dark brown hues would shine that bright yellow. “What was it? Hrm? Scott wasn’t enough for you? I’m not enough for you now?” She tried. Tried hard not to let those tears come down, but it was visible that Cora was breaking with every passing minute. “You couldn’t or you didn’t want to.” -- It honestly wouldn’t have mattered who was there at the time. It just happened to be Lydia. “She was the one that was there.” That’s all he could really say about that. “You and Scott are enough for me.” They had been more than enough. He was happy with their weird threesome relationship. “I couldn’t. It was like something else had control over me.” * She laughed. Cora actually laughed for that moment. Which wasn’t a good thing. “Don’t.. Don’t give me that it was the wolf side of you.” She came to shake her head at him for the moment. “You cheated.” She said pointing at him in that statement. Those visible tears seen down her cheeks finally. “Wolf side or not, you wanted it.” Her heart was beating rapidly, as her breathing was picking up faster. Cora was starting to have a panic attack. -- Stiles didn’t really know how to react to the laughing so he said nothing about it. “Yeah, okay, I cheated. I fucked up and I cheated and I’m sorry!” He saw the tears and he felt even worse. He started to move towards her. “I really am sorry.” He never wanted to hurt Cora, but he had by sleeping with Lydia. * Cora hated crying. She wasn’t sure how many times Stiles had seen all the sides she had worked hard to keep hidden. Even Scott saw some glimpse of that side she didn’t show people. In a sense, she hated it. Hated showing that she was vulnerable. And yet, she was doing it again. So, when Stiles moved towards her, all Cora could do was let out that panicked scream and move away from him as best as she could, until she felt her back touch those ropes. “Did you like it… SLeeping with her..” It was a horrible question to ask, but it was too late to take back. -- All Stiles wanted to do was grab Cora and hug her. But he froze when she screamed. He hated that he had done this to her. He felt totally horrible about it. If he could crawl into a hole and hide under a rock, he would. “What?” That question was not expected and it showed. “Cora…seriously, I’m not answering that.” * “You want to get past this, you’ll answer whatever I ask!” She came to look at him. “Honesty. Remember, we’ve always been honest even if it hurt.” She reminded him, since it was one of the cores of their relationship. It’s how they worked almost. Her hand soon came to her face to clean off the tears as she came to look at him once more. “If alone with her, would you do it again? Or with anyone for that matter?” Slowly, she came to step away from the ropes as she stood in the middle of the ring, just staring at him. “..Do you even still love me?” The last question was whispered as she came to look away from him for the moment. -- He didn’t want to answer it. Wasn’t this bad enough? “Yes, I liked it,” he replied. She wanted to know and now she knew. All he could do was watch as she wiped the tears from her face. But he didn’t move from his spot since the last time he tried to move towards her, she screamed. “No. I don’t think so.” They both knew they fucked up. Why would they fuck up again? “And NO.” He didn’t want to be with anyone else. “Of course I do!” That was a silly question. He loved her. It’s why this whole thing hurt and he felt pretty badly about it all. * She listened to his answers. Weighted them in her head and what to do next. “I’m going to stay with my dad for a while…” She wasn’t sure for how long, but she came to look up at him finally. Her hand came to reach out to him slowly, motioning for him to come towards her. Touch was a reassurance for them. Whether born or turned, it’s what grounded them. And Cora right now, needed to feel something from Stiles. Anything. -- “Okay…” Stiles wasn’t going to beg her to come back home. Cora was going to do what Cora needed to do and he got that. He probably wouldn’t want to be around himself either if he were her. He looked down at the ground for a moment before he looked up again. When she motioned for him to come to her, he finally moved from his spot and over to her. He didn’t do anything, though. Just in case. He was letting her lead and he was following. * When Stiles came closer to her, Cora tried to breath for the moment. “..I want this to work…” She said as she kept her hands at her sides. Brown hues coming to look up at Stiles. “I have to know.. That this is real between us.” The light feel of her fingers brushing against his was felt. “And it’s not going to be easy..” Adding as she came to keep her gaze at him for the most part. “I don’t want you around Lydia.” -- “It is real.” He thought it was. He fucked up. But that didn’t mean he had been lying this whole time. He did love Cora. He did want to be with her. Honestly, he was surprised that she wasn’t breaking up with him. “I know it won’t. I’ll do whatever you want me to do, Cora. I want to fix this. I want to move past this.” He looked down at their fingers barely touching. “I’m not going to be around her. We’ve already agreed not to be around each other for a while.” * When he said he wasn’t going to be around Lydia it made things a little better. A deep exhale left her lips as she came to let her hand hold his for the moment. “Baby steps..” Is all she said as she came to look up at him. Her grip on his hand was tight, but not to hurt him. But Cora just didn’t want to let go of Stiles. “You and me.. Always.” Any sane person would have broken up with their boy/girlfriend for cheating. But Cora meant what she said, when she said she’d never leave Stiles. -- “I can do baby steps.” He would pretty much do anything at this point in time. He held onto her hand. He didn’t want to let her go. But he knew they couldn’t stand there forever. “You and me.” Screw hand holding. He ended up pulling her close and putting his arms around her in a tight hug. “I’m sorry.” He was probably going to be saying that about five hundred more times. * When he came to wrap his arms around her, Cora was a bit hesitant. But slowly her arms came around him, to hold him tight. Lids coming closed for the moment as she came to stain his shirt with her tears once more. When he apologized again, Cora nodded her head. “...I know… I know you are..” Was all she said softly as she gripped him tighter, not wanting to let him go. -- Stiles kept on hugging her. He didn’t care if she hugged him back, but it was nice when she did. He was going to have to make it up to her. He knew it. He just didn’t know how. But he was willing to work at it as long as she didn’t give up on him and his fucked up mistake. He pulled away after a few minutes. “You believe me, right? That I’m sorry and that I didn’t mean to hurt you.” * “If I didnt I wouldnt be here.” she stated, since she knew he was telling the truth. She could tell by the scent he was giving off. “It's just… gonna take time, getting past this.” she said with a firm nod of her head as she came to exhale deeply. Her fingers coming to hold his hand as she brushed dark strands from her face. “I better get going… Moira had stew waiting for me.” she didnt want to let go, but knew she was going to have too. -- “Yeah, no, I get it. I know it’s going to take time.” He just wanted to make sure that she believed him. That he wasn’t just saying what he thought she might want to hear. He meant his words. Every single one of them. “Okay, you should go then.” He didn’t want her to go, he didn’t want to let go of her hand, but she had to go. * Cora moved to the edge of the ring, pulling Stiles with her. She pretty much pulled him all around until they got to her car, that visible suitcase in show for the moment. “Ill text you in the morning.” she said as she forced her hand to let go of his slowly and finally. -- Cora could pull him around like a little puppy dog on a leash all she wanted, he was going to follow without any hesitation. He did see the suitcase in her car, though, which just made him sad that she wasn’t coming home. But again, he got it. She needed time. “Okay.” He let his hand drop to his side when she finally let go of it. “Talk to you then.” * A simple nod of her head was given before she made her way into the car and drove towards her dads for the next few days. |
