In 2013, his grandsons hadn't spent much time acclimating him to 'modern' life, not that they'd had much time for anything. His lack of knowledge hadn't been too great of a hindrance though, Henry had happily gone to the classes and found himself adapting to the advances in technology. Understanding technology was one thing but there were other things he hadn't been prepared for. Coffee, for one thing. It was no longer a dime and even the smallest of the sizes the cafe offered was 8 ounces instead of the typical 6, but he didn't think to complain.
He had other things on his mind.
It had only been a few days since he first met his grandsons, at least for him, and now he was doing it again. He was doing it again with Sam being five years younger. Strangely, that was what caused Henry some concern as he sat in one of the booths, idly scrolling through his phone as he waited for him. He knew a lot could change about a person in five years, especially in the life he and Dean had. He worried his younger grandson wouldn't embrace him now as he had then, something that seemed more of a concern now that they were living in the same general area. He didn't expect hugs or even a card on Father's Day, but he knew he wouldn't be able to settle into his new life comfortably if he didn't have a good relationship with his family.
He took a slow sip from his cup as he glanced around the cafe. Once again, he wished Millie had been there with him. Not only was she much better at laying on the charm, but she would have been delighted to meet Sam.
