Who: The Eleventh Doctor, Rose Tyler When: A weekday in February, before the Mystery Plot Where: Abacus Institute, Ravenmoore What: Something between a reunion and meeting for the first time Warnings: Language Status: Complete
Rose had considered the Doctor's invitation to stop by his class for some time, trying to decide just how terrible the idea was. Her verdict: up there with poking a sleeping bear with a stick. Repeatedly. Possibly after rolling in a pile of raw meat to make oneself look extra tasty, but it was difficult to judge when she knew so little about this him.
So she had let that invitation go unanswered, like she had the one to visit the TARDIS and the one before that to come find him. She had continued on with life as usual in Preya, but now kept a wary eye on him through the network. Things had been fine. Mostly. There had been the usual pull of curiosity, but nothing strong enough that she'd risk losing her equilibrium by getting to know him again.
But there was an itch growing beneath her skin: the urge to do something reckless. It wasn't new to her, adrenaline junkie that she was, but it had gotten exponentially worse when she had realised that Preya was just a stop on the way to her future. A future she wasn't too keen to meet, from what few details she had gathered.
It had calmed somewhat during summer with friends new and old and ridiculous dance workouts and Rose just being happy. But that had ended abruptly because the universe apparently didn't think that she deserved nice things. She had been heartbroken and then she'd died and then the Time Lord had returned, managing to be both too old and too young and still feeling entirely too responsible for her.
So complicated. Was it any wonder that she was craving the rush of adrenaline to wipe her mind clean now more than ever? Unfortunately, winter weather wasn't conducive to the sort of mad outdoor activities she needed: anything that fell just this side of dangerous.
Visiting the Doctor, though... That was still on the table. Of course, that was a different kind of dangerous.

A rare day off from the animal shelter saw Rose heading out to Ravenmoore, bundled up in a cat-earred knit hat, long fuzzy scarf, and the long brown coat that had been a part of her since it had appeared on her doorstep on Christmas morning.
She hadn't given the Doctor a heads-up, just slipped into the classroom shortly before 1 pm with the rest of his students. She settled into an empty seat in the back to wait and watch, not really knowing what to expect.
