"Your status on the spectrum is of no concern to me" he replied simply. Straight to the point and honest as ever. "Should you have come in to my shop a cripple that would not matter to me either. What matters to me is that you are intelligent and willing to work. Nothing else matters" he added, hands settled behind his back, face looking upwards at hers.
"Your work with Vishkar Industries does not matter to me. If your work there interferes with your work here, that will become a problem. This job demands very little however" he paused, a thoughtful looking crossing his face. "Why work for me? You could set up business elsewhere, have a lab. You could create your own work space and therefor your own place of order. Why come here?" he asked, looking back up at her.
It may have seemed like a fairly simple question. But here she was, a brilliant scientist in her own right, wanting to work in his book shop. Not only that but he was certain she was going to change his order to suit herself and that was not going to work for him.
