"You're here now, and you're as safe here as the rest of us" Azrael replied honestly. "And I hope, for what it's worth, that you don't end up back in a place where you were hurt so badly" he paused and took a drink, making a face at the glass like it had just insulted his very being.
"And I'm sorry that someone you cared about has gone missing..." he said, turning to look at her. "It's never easy to lose someone, especially more than once. And this place has a way of getting under peoples skin and hurting them even more, especially when people disappear" he paused and thought a moment.
"What was he like?" he asked. "If you don't wanna talk about this though, just let me know, okay?". He figured that maybe talking about her missing friend would maybe make her happy, to talk about the good things. That helped some people. Others not so much.
