"I understand." He did, in a very different sort of way. Working directly with the humans made time feel like it stretched and passed in a way that it never did otherwise. He'd learned that during his time with the angel corps, before the humans involved had begun to see him as too powerful and a threat, even if he'd never turn on them, had even vowed to protect them from other angels.
"I am not surprised." The mention of Gabriel, even different, sparked a fond thought. He had always been close to his Gabriel, even the one here he had felt that strange connection to, though, in itself, different. Gabriel was still the only angel he could actually still feel since his fall. "If anyone would be able to create something like that, it would be Gabriel."
He considered Azrael's words for a moment before nodding. "Is it? I'm not sure I have much to tell." He wondered, considering the glass before taking it to lift for a drink. There hardly seemed reason not to. "To family. And reunions." He parroted, taking a drink and closing his eyes to the sensation, giving a low hum in thought.
"You said you were hiding, is it too bold to ask why?"
