Professor Binns dismissed the class and Cho quietly gathered up her books, carefully putting them into her bag. The rest of the class poured out of the classroom, eager to be free from the boring lecture, but Cho lingered behind. She couldn't seem to move as quickly as she once had. Cho heard the last student leave the classroom and finally started out into the castle.
There were few places Cho went these days. She went to her classes, naturally, and to Quidditch practise. But the clubs and study groups that had taken up much of her time in the previous years were long forgotten. She was becoming a hermit, all by her own doing.
The library was still a safe haven. But Cho knew the assignments given out for that week and there was a good chance that most of her housemates would be there, getting a head start on essays. Cho didn't want to talk to any of them. Instead, she headed in the opposite direction to the Great Hall. It was quite during the day. Cho had discovered this during her attempts to find a place to be alone.
On her way, Cho caught sight of a familiar face. Harry. Two feelings crashed into her at the same time. She was happy to see him and her face warmed into a smile. And yet, at the same time, she felt a tremendous amount of guilt for being excited to see him. But for once he wasn't with Ron or Hermione and Cho decided to say hello, while she had the chance.
Approaching him, Cho smiled softly. "Hullo, Harry."
