Dani still hadn't made it to Jace's place yet and instead had set herself up at a hotel for the weekend. Oh she knew she'd make it to Jace's soon enough because he was her brother and she could get him to let her stay with him, but she wanted to wander around Luna Bay for a while before she went and did that. She wanted to have a good lay of the area since she planned on staying here. Especially since she was thinking of making it a permanent move. It wasn't like she wanted to go home to their parents. That would be no life at all.
She'd found a nice little café that morning and had gotten herself a decent breakfast. Afterward she started her wandering. It certainly wasn't nearly as an exciting place as some of the places she'd visited on her trip around the US, but it was so much better than home could ever hope to be. She could get used to it here. She was going to have to be good though because she could see a handful of places that had stuff she was interested in owning and it made her hands itch and twitch. She'd just gotten to Luna Bay though and she refused to start shoplifting this soon into her move.
It would probably be best if she walked away from this area of town. If she wasn't around what she was interested in owning then the feeling of wanting it wouldn't linger. She could find a nice park… She had her satchel bag with her art supplies on her as she never left to go anywhere without it. She really didn't have any ideas as to what she would sketch, but she knew she could get inspiration pretty easily and going to do that was better than getting in trouble with the law.
And, like usual, thinking of sketching pulled her attention inward and she quit watching where she was going. The crash was inevitable because of this and so she gave a little surprised "oof" when she ran into someone else walking by. She was definitely not ready for it and she tipped back, arms flailing before she reached forward and grabbed the person she'd plowed into to try to stop from landing on her rear. She only hoped she didn't destabilize whoever it was. "Oh, falling, falling," she called out, gripping more tightly to his shirt.
