“I would!” He paused, giving her a mock sinister look before it cracked and he started laughing. “Ok, maybe only for like half a day, but still!” There would be no way he’d be able to not give in and make her a grilled cheese if she asked for it. She was Zoe and that made her (nearly) impossible to deny anything to. Plus she would probably starve or try to survive on fast food only. Both were bad things.
He gave her big eyes and blinked innocently at her, tilting his head to the side. “But you wouldn’t like me nearly as much if I wasn’t like this!” Their relationship would just seem odd if they weren’t teasing each other all the time. Plus there was the simple fact that both of them seemed to know what would take it too far and they made sure to never cross that line.
“I tried to tell you before!” And he had. Part of the texts he’d been sending her was leading up to one of the two big reveals he had for her. It wasn’t his fault that she quit replying. Though in reality he couldn’t blame her either because her reason was just so her that there was no way that it wasn’t really the truth no matter what he said. “And, well, this might have been a decision made in anger and aimed to hurt the parents.” Which was odd for Gage because he didn’t do things that hurt his family. Ever. He was of the thought that there wasn’t anything more important than family. What they had done though was wrong and had hurt him, so he’d lashed back in a quick way. He’d already been contemplating transferring, but it wouldn’t have been so sudden if all this hadn’t happened.
