"I know what you mean. I can't really picture you now without Bethie," Dean told her. Even with his history with Emily and his friendship with Dylan, he didn't mind that they'd had a kid together. Especially a kid as great as Bethie. It was just one of those things as far as he was concerned.
He got up from the couch and went into the kitchen to get himself another drink, bringing back two more beers and a glass of water and setting the extras down on the table as he sat back down. "Thought you might be ready for another drink," he said as he got comfortable again. "I don't think we'd be sitting here, hanging out watching the movie, if we hadn't gone to different colleges," he said even though she hadn't asked.
