Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Who: Cassie Colborough and Charles Turner
When: Saturday night, May 11th
Where: outside the theater, walking to the car
What: Hanging out. Maybe making out. Or talking.
Rating: TBA.

Cassie didn't really know what she was doing with Charles. They'd been friends for awhile, sure. He and Chris were kind of a package deal, just like Chris and Zoe had been. It wasn't really possible to be close to Chris without getting to know his best friend and his brother and Cassie adored them both. They'd become her friends just as surely as Chris was. Cassie liked them because they knew her. Not the bubbly girl she used to be, but the Cassie she'd learned to be after everything. They knew about the worst things she'd done and they liked her anyway. Aside from Brody and Chris, that wasn't something she ever thought she'd have.

As comfortable as she was with Charles, she definitely hadn't expected anything like what they'd been doing for the past several months. The kiss on New Years Eve had been surprising enough, but at least that was something she could explain away. Ever since, though, things had changed between the two of them. They still hung out, but they were doing it more and more on their own, away from Zoe and Chris. Not just hanging out, but there was cuddling and kissing, too. It should have been weird, but it wasn't.

What it was was confusing. Cassie knew she should feel weird about making out with Chris' brother. That was why she hadn't said a word to him about it. She didn't know why she was keeping it a secret. That was pretty stupid, but really she didn't know what to tell him. Were they dating? Were they just having fun? She didn't want to analyze it and she was sort of afraid to bring it up, so she just kind of kept going with it. It wasn't like she ever planned to kiss Charles, anyway. It just sort of happened.

Maybe a part of her wanted that when she asked him if he wanted to do something tonight. She certainly hadn't had an easy time of focusing on the movie when she kept thinking about his hands in her hair, his lips on her neck... Cassie forced those thoughts down, though, and turned to smile at him as they left the theater.

"Thanks for hanging out with me tonight," she said.
