Josh loved seeing her smile, and holding her hand, something about the contact just made him feel like he was going to explode. He felt confident and smug in her reaction to the firehouse. It was silly and sweet and endearing. Hopefully she'd still be silly and sweet and endearing when he splashed her with cold water later. He always said he wanted to be with someone who wasn't uptight again, no more super girly girls that couldn't have fun. What was a better way to see if someone would have fun with you then at a place like this? He wanted to enjoy life and had been spent far too much time being responsible and serious. And he wasn't going to waste his time with someone who wanted a doormat.
So far he was more than a little impressed with Meghan Jones. And she was unbelievably hot, too. He totally was checking out her ass as she stepped inside and they made their way up the tiny twisty stairs.
"The view from up here is pretty awesome," he said to her as they made their way to the top. The bunks were all set up and Josh pointed out that living with 9 other guys would definitely have not been something he could do. The huge city loomed in the background of this little space of undisturbed history. It would be like the Twilight Zone if it wasn't so genteel.
Josh slid down the pole first and waited for Meghan, hoping to get to help steady her on the uneven ground.
