"Not really counseling, exactly," Elaine explained as she folded a sweater. They do a lot of round table discussions and things. Sometimes some of the alumni come to talk to the kids, too.
Counseling probably wouldn't hurt most of the kids here, but Elaine thought it was kind of cool that these kids were able to turn their lives around just by living in such a nurturing environment and supporting each other.
"There's a big focus on the kids supporting each other and of course we make sure they have a safe, comfortable place to sleep, 3 good meals a day, plenty of time and space to study. It's amazing how these kids have turned their lives around here."
