If it hadn't been for Travis, the trek to the car would have been the quietest walk ever. Jase had always been more a man of action than words, but his son seemed to talk 90 to nothing most of the time and today was no exception. There were about a million and a half things he had to tell his Uncle Barrett and his excited chatter made the walk all the more pleasant.
Jase grinned at his brother as he unlocked the trunk of his car so they could toss his things inside. A short while later, they were all settled in their various seats.
"Seatbelt," he reminded his son. He was about to pull out of the space when Barrett's phone practically blew up with text messages. Jase found himself laughing out loud as the phone actually leapt from Barrett's hands.
"Yeah, I think she's excited about your visit," he commented with a smirk. He knew how their sister could be.
