A very bright smile moved over his features when she told him that she loved him. He'd said it without thinking about the possible consequences, and he was glad to see it had been well received. He meant it, after all.
He wrapped her securely in his arms when she leaned up to kiss him again. Rather than following her lead, he deepened the embrace. The kiss was slow and deep... passionate. He hoped that she would be able to see how much he cared for her.
After a while, though, he was forced to pull back. They were at the airport. As much as he wanted to, they couldn't stay like that forever. He had a plane to catch.
"I've got to go," he murmured.
His forehead was pressed against hers, and regardless of what he'd just said, he didn't try to pull away from her. He didn't want to go, now. When he'd bought the ticket, he'd wanted to get as far away from her as possible. That definitely wasn't the case now, though.
"I'll call... and text... and visit as soon as possible."
