This was exactly why Will shouldn't be allowed to have a life. He wasn't around tonight, which meant that Bri had, of course, gotten so wrapped up in her work that she'd forgotten to take a break for dinner. Her stomach was rumbling loudly by now, though, and as she finally looked up at the clock, she realized why. Moments later, she'd hailed a cab and made her way to Montague's. With a brother and a close friend running the place, she knew she'd never have trouble getting a table or at the very least a box of food to go. Tonight, it was was packed, though, that her conscience wouldn't allow her to use those connections and instead she found a seat at the bar - the only one that was available. Her eyes went wide as she spotted Chase, though. It had been awhile - a good couple of years, anyway - since they'd broken up, but running into an ex was always awkward. She should have remembered he worked here, but then again, she didn't sit in the bar area very often at all, so running into him wasn't usually a problem. Maybe he wouldn't notice her," she hoped as she tried to avoid his eyes. It was a Friday night. There had to be other people about the area who could take her order. |
