Who: James Sanford (Dracula), Isabella Leone (Mina Harker) What: Taking a lunch Where: LA; a local Greek bistro When: Monday, July 28th / 1:15 p.m. Rating: PG-13 Status: Complete thread
James ran across the street, giving a quick wave of thanks to the driver who had stopped a bit further away from the vehicle in front of him so that James could dart across quickly. A vehicle coming from the other direction, however, gave a quick blow of their horn in annoyance. "Ah, fuck off," he shouted, waving his hand at this particular driver in a more dismissive, vulgar manner. The two sides of James Sanford, Esquire. Never more obvious than when he was on a food run!
It was nice to be out of the office, though. Despite it being ridiculously hot, that is. The firm's secretary (a delightfully flirty little thing named 'Sadie') had taken a personal day, and as the week hadn't been very busy with appointments or court dates, James had insisted that he and his partner could cover things for themselves. And when it came time for lunch, guess who was guilted into picking something up? Of course it was the person who had vouched for Sadie's day off. Damn.
"Hope you like Greek, you son of a bitch," James muttered merrily as he pushed open the doors of the bistro and smiled when the aromas hit his nose. It smelled amazing. Spicy and spiked with tangy sauces and peppery meat. Lamb was sizzling on the grill with onions and peppers; that was one scent that James picked up on immediately. There was a long line at the front, and he sighed as he stepped into place and began trying to imagine ways to get further ahead.
