"Everyone is afraid of me because they're smart," Harvey said, raising his eyebrows at Mike. He wasn't just a bag of hot air, Harvey was quiet and dedicated, he walked around like nothing could touch him because really, nothing could. Associates didn't want to get on his bad side, actually that applied to pretty much everyone. "Uh huh," Harvey said rolling his eyes.
He knew there was absolutely nothing that he could do to keep Mike out of anything. Donna liked the boy too much, it was actually moving to be a problem. Now that they were here though he really didn't want to keep Mike out, at least that way he didn't feel like he had nothing at all.
After reassuring Mike so much it was really nice to get a little bit in return. "Good," he said softly. He didn't seem to mind the touch and Harvey felt like he could breathe again. Harvey grabbed one of the pillows, tucking it under his head as he made himself more comfortable. Hearing Mike tell him that it was going to be alright was more than just what he wanted to hear, he needed to hear it and he pulled the boy in closer. "Yeah," he said quietly, swallowing hard around the lump in his throat. "If you want to say that again that would be okay."
Adjusting a little bit he looked down into Mike's ridiculous blue eyes. What was he supposed to say? Hey can we cuddle for a bit because I feel so totally alone I don't know what to do with myself? No, most certainly not. Instead he just nudged Mike's thigh with his knee hoping the boy would roll over and he could pull him even closer.
