"From home to college, college to New York, back to college, then to Harvard, then to New York. Then I haven't moved or really left at all in the past oh, fourteen years?" Harvey said with a laugh, was it that obvious. "That we are, anything to make it a little easier, a little faster," Harvey agreed, knowing that people were time poor and found that time was worth much more than most things. He knew with more time he'd have been able to do even more and now he wished he'd enjoyed it more at the time. "It's got to be tougher on other people than it is on me," Harvey said, giving a little shrug. "People have family who rely on them, spouses and all that. Luckily I don't have to worry about that."
John leaned back against the wall and Harvey stepped back to face him as he enjoyed his cigarette. "Much less research required for baseball," he said with a little smile. "Thanks."
"I think I'm at that point, hell, even past it judging by average life expectancy, so I'll be due for my crisis any day now," Harvey said with a smile, although he avoided making eye contact where he could. "I much prefer a quiet drink than a club, somewhere I can hear myself think," Harvey said, glancing back at John, then back to his cigarette. He was good at playing it cool but even he could feel how strained the conversation about the club was.
