"Looks like you're in on the secret. It was a lovely ceremony, in the Greek Islands. She wore white, I wore Versace, bare feet and flowers, all that," Harvey described, rolling his eyes. Sometimes Donna felt like a life partner, sure not one he'd want to get into bed, but more than that.
Harvey knew a lot of people, but none like Mike Ross. None that were quick and clever, but so goofy he wanted to beat his head against his desk. Every now and then Mike managed to make him laugh like no one else could.
"You sound so shocked," Harvey said, looking down at himself. "When I played baseball we shook hands after a game, maybe hugged our teammates, but that was all."
Harvey leaned forward off the wall to reach out and take the beer Mike was offering. Unscrewing the cap he flicked it across the room into the bin. "Feeling better, kid?" Harvey asked, giving him a quick once over. He felt the mood had lightened, but he hoped it wasn't just because Mike was pushing down all his worries.
