Harvey rolled his eyes, wondering why he even bothered being so brilliant if it wasn’t going to be appreciated. “Then he’s probably sitting in an army base with the other me, who’s clearly just as smart as I am, I wouldn’t worry.”
Thinking about it he shook his head, no they weren’t going to let them have contact with their other lives, he already knew that. Sighing he unfastened his watch, standing up and dropping it into Mike’s lap. “Sell it. Put the money in an envelope. Send it to her. Don’t do something stupid like walk in there and get yourself into trouble.” Harvey said, shoving his hands into his pockets as he crossed the room to the window, nudging the curtain open so he could look out at the skyline.
What did he need it for anyway? Suits he couldn’t wear? No. It was just a watch. A fifty thousand dollar Rolex, but just a watch all the same. “And don’t let them rip you off when you do sell it.”
Laughing he leaned back against the wall, crossing his arms over his chest. “Too late.”
