Sam sighed. "I'm sorry. I wish you had a better life, one where you don't have to think about everything you do in advance. It's what I always tried to protect you from, but not well enough obviously," he said. "We'll figure this out together."
He snorted. "Of course your mom asked. She was supposed to get the intel me and tell me the edited version. There are rules about these things," he said, laughing, although he knew that he got the facts and nothing about emotions or even sex, especially sex.
"Like is good, I guess." He looked at Jenna for a moment. "I don't know. I feel like I should, but I don't want to start another round of fighting. What you do with him- I really don't want to know unless we're talking about leaving the base and discussing security. Anything you do when you're at his place, I don't need to know. Really. Ever." He brushed the lock of hair framing her face. "I guess I'm worried. We could stay here a day, a year or a decade. If we find a way home- I don't want you to get hurt, baby, that's all."
