"You're welcome." Sam never knew when he said enough and when it wasn't enough, and with Sean, he always erred on more instead of less. "Not just for the certification. I'm proud of the fine young man you are, for everything you've accomplished, and I know how hard missing graduation was, but you don't need it. You've already proven how good you are, by doing everything required."
Sam smiled. "I had a feeling you would say that. I'll give it to you when we get home." He snorted. "They are recorded on a crappy mike with no background music. I have a feeling that you expected less when you weren't born yet."
He sighed. "Look, I know what this means in terms of moving around, but I still want you to talk to me before going anywhere. A few months of training aren't the same as a lifetime of watching for dangers. I'm not trying to control you or Jenna, but I want to know that you're safe."
