"Again, I wasn't really involved. They got the information; they gave us or whoever else the information; we did what we had to do. It's another type of association, and after getting what I need, I don't have to deal with them," he pointed out. "You don't have to justify the problems you have with them. It's enough that you do."
Robert sighed. "No, you might get hurt, G, no matter what cover you use, because the next time, you might not expect it, but you'll have a lapful or someone's tongue in your mouth, and then bad things happen. Just ease up on the covers and try to see how you like them, and not how you can morph into someone who likes them."
He smiled. "No, it doesn't, but I'm not her either. I don't want to push you into anything, and you deserve a place where you can relax."
It was good that his hands were inside his very tight pockets, because it would be so easy to reach for G again. "We'll figure it out, and you aren't asking, because I've offered. I doubt I can stop completely, because it comes naturally, but I can use Sam or Deeks to lean on. That should spread the weirdness around," he said with a grin. "That should help easing up, and by the way, you didn't slip into a cover until I pushed, so I guess no pushing too much. Maybe on the weekends when you aren't dealing with all those people," he joked. "No, we probably should pretend to help before people ask us what's going on."
