"Yeah I don't know anything about psych, I do know plenty of girls who just like to talk - but they don't really talk about that sort of thing." It was all about cheerleading, or school, or some new party, or who was dating who - no one back home ever talked about anything the people here seemed to be interested in. It made Tim wonder if these people had ever done anything but work in their lives at times.
He nodded sort of vaguely when she told him how she did what she did - though really most of that went over his head, even now with the classes and things, he still wasn't to interested in his computer or phone, but he'd managed to figure out how to check his email from the phone and almost always remembered to check it on his own without being reminded. "Uh huh, all I know about computers and the internet I've learned since being here - I don't really interpret things I find on the internet."
He didn't understand people and how much they used the computers, he'd seen a lot of them carrying their computers around with them, even taking them to the pool when they'd gone out there. It was just strange, no matter how you looked at it.
"Workin'" He shrugged before he shook his head. "Nah, I did a few weeks of school, but it's not really for me - just makin' it through high school was a big deal, I never wanted to do more school than that." And yet he'd been taking classes and things here. "Figured I'd be workin' with my brother, buildin' my house and just livin' life, you know? Now I'm some kind of agent and they're givin' me a gun and stuff - It's just crazy s'all."
"So you got three brothers? What do they do?" Tim asked, though with his luck it would be something with computers or something that made his head hurt just thinking about.
